SEMANGATNEWS.COM. A month after the World Economic Forum,2026 (WEF 2026) annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland that there were over 60 head of state are gathering. The WEF is known as one of the highest-level gatherings in the Annual Meeting’s history. Under the Theme of A Spirit of Dialogue, President of Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto attended the meeting. As a one of appointed speaker, President Prabowo Subianto explained about the Indonesia’s success reaching a good economic performance for many years.
One of the WEF’s agenda, the world leaders were discussing against the most complex geopolitical backdrop in decades, with rising fragmentation and rapid technological change transforming the global economy. Participants include several G7 leaders as well as numerous heads of states from G20 economies and BRICS countries. Indicating that the meeting would be exclusive and multi regional forum of developed countries accomodation.
The leaders were also gathering alongside nearly 850 of the world’s top CEOs and chairs. What was the attending of the world’s top businessman (the capitalist and rich people) will be concerning to the economic problem of many developing countries? At the same time, there were not a representation of non governmental organization (NGO) and civil society attending that exclusive forum of WEF. Especially, the community sectoral group which has concerned to the poverty alleviation movement and impartial approach.
Indonesian President also detailed how Indonesia is preparing its economy for the industries of the future. But, this is another point of view Indonesian development strategic in the long run time. Planning the appropriate program and priority to achieve the goal what is called Indonesia Emas 2045. In the short run time is to implement the vision-mision of Asta Cita as a political commitment while were running on presidential election. Which one more important thing to do by the President, implementation of Asta Cita or WEF’s commitment first?
*USA Maintains Global Dominance*
Indonesian emphasized that peace and stability are the most valuable assets for a country, as well as the main prerequisite for growth and prosperity. The meaning is development for the countries around the world need an understanding, cooperation and collaboration on the single vision of independence dan peace right. There will be no development to alleviate the poor and the weak without independence right and to respect other countries or neighboor.
At that WEF’s moment, on January,22 2026 Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto spoke about how “peace and stability” are our most valuable thing and assets. Noting that they are the “ultimate prerequisites” for growth and prosperity. Without focusing on human resources development program will be a big problem for the government in the future, especially facing up the poor and the weak. Whether this problem will be resolved seriously by the rich country participants?

Beside that, there will be no prosperity without peace and equality amongst developing and developed countries. For example, In times of uncertainty, times when wars continue to erupt, times when trust between countries is increasingly fragile, history teaches us that peace and stability are the most valuable assets. As a valuable asset so that every countries must be concern to maintain peace and stability without domination manner.
Peace and stability are the main prerequisites also for attacking the poor and alleviate the weak before getting prosperity. This is a main problem and handicap to achieve the world peace as a part of human right declaration of United Nation building after the 2nd World War. In fact, war and instability only produce poverty and destruction. Increasing the amount of destruction area, the poor and the weak. But, in fact USA is still playing as a super power country dominantly to control the economic world above many countries, including Indonesia.
Meanwhile, the world today faces a challenging condition, marked by the continued occurrence of conflicts and the weakening of trust between countries, institutions, and nations. In this context, the President emphasized that there would be no prosperity without peace, and stability was an important foundation for long-term economic development. This is required to help the poor and the weak community and developing countries.
Therefore, this is the right time to end the dominance of one or several country or superpower. The world does not need the domination of one country over another which has implications for prosperity. The WEF is a moment of truth for cooperation and collaboration among countries in the region and the world. Making the new world order thorugh multipolar cooperation that Indonesia called is as a good neigborhood policy.
The question is what exactly the WEF’s commitment to addressing the world economic problem amongst the rich and the poor? For the estimated that around 808 million people, or 9.9% of the world’s population, will live in extreme poverty based on data of the World Bank 2025. This condition need an appropriate intervention policy from many developed countries to solve the poverty problem and its impact.
That figure reflects ongoing challenges in global poverty reduction efforts, highlighting the significant portion of humanity still lacking access to basic needs and struggling with income levels below the international poverty line. While facing increasing competition from rivals like China, the U.S. continues to hold a central position through strategic alliances with Indonesia.
The USA maintains significant global dominance, driven by the dollar’s status in 88% of foreign exchange transactions, superior military spending, and unmatched influence in finance and technology. While facing long-term structural decline and rising competition, the U.S. retains unchallenged supremacy in its hemisphere and top-tier power status globally.
USA has known globally as a super power country must be play an important rule for peace and stability through stopping any dominance action. Referring to President Prabowo emphasized that the peace and stability maintained in Indonesia for years did not happen by chance or due to luck. This condition, according to him, is the result of the choice of the Indonesian nation to prioritize unity over fragmentation, as well as friendship and collaboration over confrontation.
Peace and stability in Indonesia for years did not happen by chance. Nor did it happen because of luck. It happened because according to the Indonesian people, have always and will continue to choose unity over fragmentation, friendship and collaboration over confrontation. Credibility, once time lost, is very expensive to restore. Expensive internally and externally also politically to build the trust again over the country itself and world community. Eventhough, the economic structural inequality is still an unresolved problem.

Sadly, there were no positive declaration and an official report and statement according to the crucial and key issues, especially in term of domination and the greedynomic. The restsruction around five key global challenges is more important where public-private dialogue and involving all stakeholders. There is no necessary for progress on poor community problem neither still unrealized to international trading cooperation and agreement between countries.
The commitment, how can we build prosperity within planetary boundaries without greedy manner or being greedynomic country passed away. Or just “omon-omon” a term of popularized by the President Prabowo Subianto. Which underscores that infrastructure, food systems, and natural ecosystems must be affirmed to the poor and the weak not only to the have and the strong one only fatamorgana . *The new world commitment that places humanity above all else is only just a words*.
USA still play the obselete rule as an capitalism countries that dictate and even colonialize others. This fact, according to The Agreement on Reciprocal Tariffs (ART) with the United States may make it harder for Indonesia to sustain policy flexibility in dealing with other countries and various situations in the international geopolitical stage. An important thing to asking what is the benefits and impacts from WEF’s meeting to the Indonesian economic and many developing countries?(*)
